ORPHAN FOAL & ZEBRA RESCUE

Many people do not know about the newest horror called Pony Coats.  Newborn foals are sold to slaughterhouses to be skinned and their hide used to make coats.  Also I learned that people were purchasing Zebras without researching.  All too late many people realized Zebras could be a bit too aggressive and did not always make good pets.    So I started THUNDER HILL "ORPHAN FOAL & ZEBRA" RESCUE.

Luna at 3 weeks   Luna at 3 and a half weeks.

Look at the unusual shadow patterns on Luna.  The sun was shining just perfect for this photo.  This photo was taken Dec 2, 2006.

This is Luna.  She got her name from the white crescent moon mark on her forehead. She was just 2 weeks old on or about April 14, 2006. We think she might be a Quarter Horse X Arabian. She is beautiful when she trots, and holds her head high and her tail straight up like a deer.

This poor little baby was ripped from her mother who is a nurse mare and headed for the slaughterhouse. I can only imagine how terrified her and her mother felt being torn from each other.

I will update the photo when I can because she has grown since of course.  She is just gorgeous and so very gentle and sweet.  She readily goes to anyone for loving.  She is halter and lead trained as well.

You must have experience with horses to adopt Luna.

Little Bit - Filly was born 4/26/06.  She might be a QH  X. As you can see from the photo she loves to roll in the mud.  She got brushed right after these photos but my batteries went dead in my camera.  She is just gorgeous and so very gentle and sweet.  She readily goes to anyone for loving.  When I let the other horses out to pasture, Little Bit always stays back for a while to get lots of loving.  She is halter and lead trained as well.

Chinook - Filly is a gorgeous Black and White Spotted Saddle Horse/Friesian X we think.  Chinook has a beautiful curly mane.  She was 7 weeks old in this photo taken on  4/29/06.  I will update the photo when I can.  She will be hard to part with.  I have had her listed as adopted all this while because I planned on keeping her ever since I saw her gaiting in the pasture at 8 weeks of age.  She is so very loving and I know she is going to be an awesome horse.  I do not want to part with her but I had to decide between breaking in another horse or devoting more time to taking in new baby horse rescues.  I had to choose the baby horses.  She is halter and lead trained as well.

Chinook's adoption fee is a bit pricey but she is well worth it.  She is just so beautiful and is becoming more awesome every day.

Please call or email for an interview if you are interested in adopting any of the above listed foals.  E-mail: dogs2rescue@hotmail.com   or call 330-722-1627
